Youth Earth Day Cleanup and Hike at 10 Mile River Greenway

This past weekend, as a celebration of Earth Day, we coordinated with The Croft School to do another family event. We took a large group of elementary school students and their families out on a section of the 10 Mile River Greenway to collect trash and appreciate the surrounding nature. It was a success, with many trash bags being filled by the end of the walk. This event has been very beneficial for the Pawtucket Parks and Rec Department; keeping large green spaces clean is necessary yet challenging. The students and their families had a great time, enjoying some nice spring weather.
